Notifications

Notifications bring important changes to you so you don’t have to keep checking every page. They are best used for events that need your attention — a new assignment, an approval, a mention, or a meaningful update to work you care about.

The bell at the top of the sidebar shows a count when you have unread notifications. Open it to review the latest activity.

Selecting a notification marks it read and, when tied to a work order, takes you to that record. Use Mark all read when you’ve reviewed everything in the list.

Notification What it usually means
Assigned to me A work order was assigned or transferred to you
Mentions Someone @mentioned you in a work-order comment
Updates on my work orders Activity occurred on work you’re involved with or submitted
Requests to approve A new request is waiting for a manager decision
Flagged for review Completed work needs another look or manager attention

Manager-specific options appear only for users who need them.

Open Settings and find Notifications. Each notification type has its own switch, and your choices save automatically.

Use Enable notifications as the master switch. Turning it off stops new in-app notifications from being created for you.

If you want alerts when MaintenanceOps is in the background, open the notification panel and select Enable alerts. Your browser or device will ask for notification permission.

Device alerts supplement the in-app bell; they do not replace it. If browser notifications are blocked, you may need to change that permission in your browser or device settings.

Notifications do not replace the dashboard

Section titled “Notifications do not replace the dashboard”

Use notifications for individual events. Use the dashboard for operational conditions such as overdue work, PM due, Life Safety, workload, vendor compliance, and renewals.
