Chat
Use Chat for quick coordination that doesn’t need to become part of a work-order record — for example, checking whether a part arrived, asking someone to look at an area, or coordinating a crew.
Start a conversation
Section titled “Start a conversation”- Open Chat.
- Select New chat.
- Search for and select the people you want to include.
- Select Start chat.
Choose one person for a direct conversation. Choose two or more people for a group; when you do, give the group a useful name such as HVAC crew or Weekend coverage.
Send a message or attachment
Section titled “Send a message or attachment”Type your message and press Enter to send. Use Shift+Enter for a new line.
You can also use the attachment controls to share a file or take a photo. Images appear in the conversation; other attachments can be opened from their file link.
Chat versus the work order
Section titled “Chat versus the work order”| Use | Best for |

Unread messages
Section titled “Unread messages”Threads with unread activity show a count, and the Chat item in the sidebar shows your total unread messages. Opening a conversation marks it read.
Messages arrive without requiring a manual page refresh.
