Chat

Use Chat for quick coordination that doesn’t need to become part of a work-order record — for example, checking whether a part arrived, asking someone to look at an area, or coordinating a crew.

  1. Open Chat.
  2. Select New chat.
  3. Search for and select the people you want to include.
  4. Select Start chat.

Choose one person for a direct conversation. Choose two or more people for a group; when you do, give the group a useful name such as HVAC crew or Weekend coverage.

Type your message and press Enter to send. Use Shift+Enter for a new line.

You can also use the attachment controls to share a file or take a photo. Images appear in the conversation; other attachments can be opened from their file link.

Threads with unread activity show a count, and the Chat item in the sidebar shows your total unread messages. Opening a conversation marks it read.

Messages arrive without requiring a manual page refresh.
